Transnational Education

Okanagan Global Alliance

Global Alliances for Shared Academic Excellence

UBC Okanagan’s Transnational Education (TNE) strategy expands access to UBC’s world-class education through strategic partnership development. The Okanagan Global Alliance (OGA) initiative supports comprehensive TNE program development, including dual degrees, academic pathways, and related partnership agreements with global partners.

PATHWAY models

The OGA supports a range of academic pathway models, in collaboration with partner institutions, to broaden access to international learning opportunities for students. Pathway models are designed to support student mobility and align academic standards, while ensuring institutional integrity and coherent program delivery.

In this collaboratively designed academic model, students complete approved components of study at both institutions and graduate with credentials from both UBC and the Partner Institution. 2+2 Dual Degree Pathways aim to set students up for a successful transfer through intentional program alignment and curriculum articulation.

This unique graduate model focuses on professional course-based graduate programs where students begin their graduate studies at a partner institution, followed by completing a professional graduate program at UBC Okanagan.
