Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program

EduCanada has launched the Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program (FMPBP) for the 2025/26 academic year.

The FMPBP program, offered by Global Affairs Canada, provides Canadian faculty with opportunities to create or expand partnerships with Latin American and Caribbean institutions through short-term teaching and/or research activities.

The primary objective of the program is to create new institutional collaborations and/or strengthen existing agreements between Canadian and non-Canadian post-secondary institutions eligible under the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP). The FMPBP supports Canada’s education relations and engagement in the ELAP region by advancing institutional partnerships in the areas of research, student mobility, joint programming, and capacity building.

Eligibility

Candidates must be full-time faculty members at Canadian post-secondary institutions. Grant recipients must teach or conduct research in eligible ELAP countries in the Caribbean, Central, North and South America.
